The Freya Cottage Studio
Freya Cottage is my Grand Rapids-based creative wellness studio dedicated to creating sacred containers that allow you to feel seen, heard and safe to process what’s on their heart, all while prioritizing joy and sacred rest.
Freya Cottage (affectionately named after Freya, the Norse goddess of magick) is your soft landing place to lean into the magick of your presence. Through private sessions and intentional workshops, you’ll find elevated energetic wellbeing and a soul-nourishing essence of play.
You’ll find my yoga restorative yoga therapy rituals, vegan recipes and seasonal practices documented on my Youtube channel.
My Story
Everything I teach and embody I learned the hard way through many seasons of perfectionism, overwork, under-nourishment and martyrdom, allowing me to alchemize these experiences, dive into healing on a soul level and share deeply transformational work rooted in gentle awareness.
My creative practice is deeply rooted in yoga- a Sanskrit word meaning “to unite” or “to bring together.” Uniting the healing and creative arts is what saved me in the midst of early motherhood. While wholeheartedly dedicating my energy to my tiny humans in those early years, somewhere along the way I lost my light.
After a creative awakening and deepened dedication to my spiritual practice, this dynamic balance between restorative movement and creativity unlocked my energetic renewal, allowing me to show up as the mother I always wanted to be. This cultivation of well-rounded wellbeing continues to inspire the way I teach, hold space for others, and grow as a mother, movement guide and creatrix.
